when i saw the papillon on the floor today, i was relenting already. & then when i bathed that retriever, my heart & mind sealed shut. i couldn't do it. the feeling of being with animals, with dogs & cats, just makes me happy. it satisfies my day.

last friday, there was this man training his white poodle at like 10pm plus at the badminton court. i just stood there & watched them for awhile.

unless somebody can get me another job that works with animals, then i will.

i cried when upon the decision/the realisation, of not being able to work with animals. i needed somebody to talk to, & i found God.

tic ticks

i was soooo digusted by work today, HAHA. but it was like a really EYE-OPENING experience seriously. i think i'll have nightmares over it. it get squeamish just looking at those pictures below. i googled ticks, & i saw really gross pictures. so please don't be a dumb dumb like me. i also found out that deer ticks & sheep ticks were seriously digustingly big, cause their bodies & swell & grow, kinda like of leeches. i pray i don't encounter any. i hope that there's no such thing of those that can be found in singapore. why did God create ticks?

anyway, y'know you can't squash a tick? what my bosses do is that they put the ticks in this jello kind of liquid that kills them. i found this quite huge one on the bosses' dog & i didn't dare pluck that. today's was smaller but it was numerous. not like the one in the picture below. that's just waayy gross. i intend to blog somemore, so that i can push this post down down & don't have to see it. i'm typing this to try to rid of my irks. i think i have two fears now, jellyfish & ticks.

i'm really worried about the uni admission thingy. haven't applied for anything yet. still considering.

alevels was hell & i never wanna repeat it. y'know when some people say that they even have nightmares about it, it's really true. as for my results, it ain't fantastic. i really feel that i have like nowhere to go but still, PRAISE GOD. it's seriously a vast improvement from all my tests & exams.

sihui's birthday

so on saturday, after work, i met the girls at 313 somerset for dinner & to celebrate sihui's birthday! by the time i got there, they all had their dinner already. we had dinner at greenhouse cafe. it's a shop/cafe. it sells food & flowers as well (Y) anyway, it has been like a seriously long time ago since we could all 6 be able to meet up. thanks to alinda, the photographer for the night (:

so after dinner, we blindfolded sihui & made her walk along the streets of orchard & it kinda made her look like a terrorist & so everybody was looking at us. the other 5 of us looking like we were escorting the terrorist leader. HAHAHAHAHA. sihui thought that both may & i were blindfolded too that's why she agreed to be blindfolded. but we were SOOOOO NOT. unglam ttm

don't lose hope on me

1. swimming with mel
sigh, just a few hours of swimming can make cause me to feel totally exhausted ))): am i unfit again? i fell asleep during the movie, UP, that we were watching. i had fun exercising my legs & arms. HAHAHAHA. must make sure both sides are equally developed. i'm really tired EVERDAY now. eyebags getting bigger the second.

2. work
sigh, i almost got a lecture from the guy boss on saturday ))): omg, it's not like i'm THAT slow. i'm just more cautious & meticulous. it's not my pet, it's OTHER people's pet. i have to take exteremely good care of their prized possesion. favourite part of my job, is bathing the animals :D i think tomorrow, i'll just try to speed up my work & clean the cages. i still love doing this regardless of the super inflexible work schedule. pray i don't get fired or anything. but if i really do, then i will work at an animal clinic, then resend my resume to the zoo.

3. diet
HAHAHAHAHAHA, mel's sticking to that non-carbo diet & i'm not. it's tough working & sticking to that diet cause i can't really be that picky now that i can't buy my own food. my bosses help me settle lunch. oh, i still owe them $3 for that prawn hokkein mee.

4. God
sigh, i think i'm straying further & further away from God. i've got to resist the temptations that satan's minions have set out & all you people must too.

working at a petshop

today's my 2nd day at work.
to answer the questions that many people have been asking me over & over again:

i'm working at pet passion. it's a petshop that does mostly grooming. my bosses are alson & angeline. my working hours are 10am -7pm, tuedays to sundays. offdays on mondays. as for my pay, i don't really mind much about it cause i believe in doing something that you love & enjoy doing. that way, you'll really put effort into it & feel well rewarded for it. time really flies that way too. i don't even mind cleaning the dusty areas for my bosses. don't worry, i'm not doing cheap labour unlike that darn florist job.

so far, i just handle the washing, drying, brushing, cleaning of the dogs. when i have mastered the basics, i'll have to go for speed & efficiency. there are only 3 of us working in the shop so it's really busy busy busy. alson said i can't mention too much of what we do, so i gotta zip my mouth. i really love all the dogs that i have seen so far, except for one. all of them are really friendly & i love to see them wag their tails! :D

things that i got to remember:
1. show the pet who's boss, take control of them. don't let them sense my fear. that i've got to be tough at some times.
2. before i give dogs a bath, check the sink for fur, the bottles whether it's full & squeeze the anal glands. i must not let water in the ear. if not more smelly earwax trouble in the future.
3. i can't blowdry into the dog's ears.

i just really tired & hungry quickly this week & haven't had the time to read THAT BOOK yet for syc. & i'll try to stick to that ketogenic diet for the rest of the week, though it isn't going to be much help. working at the petshop makes me hungry & i'm hungry even at this point of time when my tummy's quite bloated already.

regarding the hanoi mission trip, i pray that i can go for it? the cantonese language barrier going to be much of a problem. if i really intend on going, someone please teach me! so far, i can only remember the cantonese vulgarities ))): & it was all because of a chinese lesson back in sec2 i think. so you see the help i need now.

i don't really have the mood to type entire loooonnnggg posts nowadays & can't really post pictures up now cause my hard disk is full. can't put anymore music & photos inside now ))):

1. exercise
have been exercising really often nowadays. very proud of myself :D & i thank all those who have accompanied me swimming! steph, mk, mel, ruoning.
a few things i've realised the past few times of swimming:
steph always swims freestyle while mk always swims breaststroke. mel doesn't really like the sun. ruoning makes sure she finishes the laps she sets for herself. many people (especially guys) love tanning at bukit batok swimming complex while cck's swimming complex is always packed with the little sec & pri kids that are learning swimming.

2. payday
some people have known about my miserable pay while working as a florist. so, when payday came, it was only a freaking $90. i went to bank in my cheque & was super sua-ku. i didn't know what do & where to slot it in. i then invested $20 of my pay in a swimming towel, the kind that you can soak it, squeeze it & it becomes insanely dry again :D though it was about 22.2% of my pay, it was a worthy investment.

3. new job: at a petshop
thanks to kevin, i have found work at a petshop which does mostly grooming. i just hope they don't cheat me & that i can have time off to go to church on sundays. i have mondays free! choosing between the waitress job & the petshop job, i rather serve the animals whole-heartedly than people half-heartedly. i've yet to work a day & i hope i do have fun. if it really goes well, then i have much thanks for God & kev.

4. books
i still prefer having a hard copy of a book in my hands rather than reading it on some computer. i don't think i could even sell my story books in the future. i've been caught up in two books. one fifth avenue by candace bushnell & discover the book God wrote by bill bright. can you believe that i bought one fifth avenue for only $3?! & uncle william bought the other for $1?! when i feel richer, i'll pop down to praisehaven family store at bukit timah again to get cheap cheap cheap books.

5. army
meeting up with the clique on saturday was really awesome even though i was like the only girl at the bbq for close to 3 hours. time really flies & sooner or later, all the guys in the clique are going to have shaved heads. it's probably 40% of the guys in army now. so for like 2 hours, the conversations mainly revolved around the topics of army, army & ARMY. wilson tried to help me by changing topics but it hardly worked. those army guys can't really help it, it's 24hrs mon to friday in camp & so that's what they can only talk about. now i understand how girls who have boyfriends in army feel. all the dudes talk about army & become wrapped up in their own small little world. my situation was slightly better as i understood some sort of army lingo & have army stories of my own to tell, especially spooky ones thanks to prashant. the group then became divided into two groups. the boys that had entered army (no hair) & those that had not (have hair).
time is really precious to these army boys & i appreciate them for being able to take time off & spend their precious weekend with the clique. the time that they could have rested at home, spend time with their families or even with their girlfriends, was instead spent with the clique. it isn't easy gathering everybody & i appreciate what jacon has done.

7. alevel results
honestly, i don't think i'll do well at all. what i know i can do now is to only pray hard & believe in God for a miracle. it's not really nice to hear friends talk about other people that they know that got into some top notch uni or something. it would be nice for once if i was actually one of those elites, excelling in everything but unfortunately, i'm on the path of 'doing what i like to do'. it's really pressuring to have like 'smarter & much more hardworking' people all around me. you know when people say they think they are not going to do well & in the end they do do well? i, on the other hand, am the opposite. when i know i'm not going to do well, i usually don't do well in the end. the only times when i thought i did well & did do well in the end, was back in sec4 during an amaths test & j2 maths probability test. i don't wanna have high hopes, only to be dashed by seeing some poor results on the day itself. all that i can do is believe that whatever i get, God has a plan for me.

8. wishlist
- new swimming costume
- new running shoes
- nail stickers
these aren't wants, they are needs. & i think i'll work for it. buy them with my pay. my old swimming costume is loose, my running shoes are old & have toe-holes & running more with it will further aggravate my joints. nail stickers are for me to release my creativity. this year's cny, i decorate my fingernails & toenails & have received compliments. so in case i can't find any job in the future, i can become like a manicurist. i am going to remove those jewels on my toes soon & replace them with butterflies.

9. last saturday's canoeing training
it was my 1st time in a long time heading down to macritchie for canoeing training. i wanted to help out in the juniors training cause i knew how busy the j2s would be. i mean, i was in the same position as them last year. while we were rowing out, doing our sets, the j1s would be left with mr ang & i would like kinda worry about them not knowing the proper way to balance boat & stuff. so, last saturday, when i saw the juniors, i was disappointed. there was only 13 j1s )))): like WTH? my team of like 24 shrank till 12 & the j2s with originally 30 shrank till like 17. are you telling me that my next year i'll have 6 or 7 people left? WTH?
if i will be left with a handful of people, then i might as well sieve out the j1s now. the j1s have to know that canoeing is a no nonsense kind of cca. you can't just come & leave as you like it. & quitting halfway is wimpy & weak. i'm hoping for a miracle.
HAHAHAHAHA, i totally rolled my eyes at that new canoeing teacher. i still prefer mr kum.

i need to sleep soon to wake up at 8am everyday to get to work

work is tiring

JOB SUCKS

30 plus girls have been CHEATED/CONNED
well, work has started since monday & i've met like some really nice people like chloe jaslyn jasmine shimin & yuxin. & omg, it's like going back to primary school whereby i speak in english & get replies in chinese. these group mates of mine have yet to hear me speak chinese in full sentences man.

everyday we complain about giving out this friggin' vouchers that we have resorted to mailboxes. our aim is just to finish giving out these 3000 vouchers while the company's friggin' aim is to earn revenue from the vouchers that we give out. well, will not mention the company's name but to pay us like a paltry $30 for 1000 vouchers given out if friggin' CHEAP LABOUR. srsly, like i don't mind not having a job end of this week. this job is not only not worth it & i'm not really able to keep to the diet. for $30 the complany wants us to dress up nicely, put on makeup & just stand around giving out vouchers is sooooo not worth it. i feel so degraded to the level of people giving out flyers at clementi or at orchard underpass. & WTS, the scarves? bleahh

sigh, just ranting out here. i'm just glad that God has blessed me with a good pair of legs & new found friends who aren't like my typical fairfield friends but good enough to have conversations with :D & everyday, i pray an earnest prayer before i sleep

anyway, i looove sushi, but sigh, i can't eat it anymore except for saturdays & sundays. the diet has been going on pretty great but some people just don't understand ): some people think it's crazy, but seriously, IT DOES WORK. they should try it for their fat-selves. i'm just trying to exercise more too. monday to fridays, no carbohydrates at all. it's tough. i'm tired & hungry nearly the whole time. need to get a tan toooooo.

i start work on monday, as a florist, from 1 feb to 13 feb. some days i give out vouchers, some days i do floral arrangements. i'm pretty fine with everything but the pay itself. ohwell.



i don't know whether should i still continue with the job. i'm pretty much happier slacking at home everyday, watching movies & enjoying my maid's good cooking. giving out vouchers is the same as giving out flyers :( what kind of stupid job did i sign up for? :(((( i hope the 10 plus days will be up really soon.

#1. i am back from the most AWESOME-EST malaysian trip with friends & family!
anyway, the trip was GOOD & tons of pictures yet to upload on facebook but i'm procastinating :D stephliaw's prolly the first out of everybody to upload. & she had to squeeze her trillon photos into one 200 photos fb album. & guess what, the same friends & family are all heading up to kuching during the new year. sigh, ushering in another festival while not being in singapore. oh well, we're gonna play with fireworks :D

#2. i'm sick ):
ever since i was back, i caught some sickness ))): am now 'bombing the toilet' every 3 hours or so. hope i'll be better by tomorrow. can't believe i missed the canoeingteam birthday babies celebration.

#3. fairfield 2010 orientation
well, i am volunteering my time at fairfield for next year's orientation since i don't have a job yet, but still looking for one

#4. i am tired of people asking the same questions
ever since alevels ended, EVERYBODY asks the same questions like 'are you going to find a job?', 'what are your career options?' & 'what do you expect of your results?'

#5. & i always reply with the same answers
over & over & over again. i seriously do not expect much of my results & so do my parents. i have not thrown/recycled/sold my alevel stuff yet cause i might need it again. who knows? i am interested in architecture & zookeeping. i was inspired by this guy, Michael Graetz. you can go wiki/yahoo/google him. i love animals & i love design. Michael Graetz is a combination, a fusion of these two.

admit it. hate her, like her, she's bent on ruling the world. influencing every living thing with gaga culture. her tunes are mindblowing-ly addictive & her fashion sense knocks your socks off! just to name a few songs that come straight to my mind : badromance pokerface justdance summertime alejandro lovegame paparazzi papergangsta secondtimearound speechless teeth telephone. but seriously, i haven't met anyone that hates lady gaga to the core. sure, her fashion style is weird, but seriously, it's cool.

please, somebody. push me to complete it!

#9. exercise
i need to exercise! be it swimming running yoga gym volleyball frisbee tennis badminton soccer or whatever, all i need are exercise buddies! i've got yiling to teach me frisbee :D just send me an sms to bring me out to exercise! i am willing :)))) this is not a weight issue. i'd love to try new sports. wakeboarding has always look so inviting. heck about my knees & ankles already.

back from canoeing chalet, slept from pasir ris all the way to jurong east. it was like a friggin' 36 stops from pasir ris all the way to fajar.

this year's canoeing chalet basically comprised of mahjong, poker, drinking games, horror movies, beach, night walk, bbq, potluck, chips for breakfast, fast food & more fast food, chicken drumlets, horror movies, lack of sleep and twister.

i did have quite a lot of fun, but not enough scare. last year, we had SAW marathon, this year we watched so~so horror movies like the unborn, the haunting in connecticut, the seed of chucky.

anyway, due to the lack of sleep & blistering hot/cold conditions, i now have a sore throat & a terrible runny nose. looks like i'll be finishing off the whole tissue box tonight )))):

2nd night's twister game. let me tell you, twister is seriously a good form of exercise, like yoga. i'm pretty flexible but champion twister goes to yaojie! i now have some aches at my waist & thighs area

3rd day (last day). the senior & junior team went to tampines mall's macs for brunch. omg, i really didn't like macdonalds & haven't had any of their meals in a long long long long long time. not knowing what to eat, i decided on happy meal & i couldn't even finish my cheeseburger! macdonalds disgust me. ever since my gp teacher showed us the video, SUPERSIZE ME, macdonalds hasn't been part of my diet. the really surprising thing today was that despite the small portions of happy meals, i couldn't finish my fries & cheeseburger! anyway, got this avatar doll thingy. since i had no use for it, i decided to leave it on the train. hehheh, on the priority seat! don't know what to do with it even if i brought it back home, it'll just be collecting dust. maybe it'll appear on STOMP :D

i'm ammm soooo tired. came back home at 6 in the morning, slept and woke up around 10plus. forcing myself to stay awake so as to not ruin my body clock. damn, 4 hours of sleep only. & tmr i have to buy my own lunch )): tried cooking tomyam maggi today & it turned out tasteless cause i put too much water. man, i seriously can't cook. my brother is like the best maggi mee cook, really.
