church camp

woots! church camp ROCKS!!!

dayone
met up with joanna's family, steph's family, uncle rong chan's family and gerald, katherine, john and some others and we proceeded to kulai. it was a total of 5 cars. stop-over at somewhere for breakfast. along the way to kulai, we met some other families, example vanessa's friends, samantha and jaslyn. anyway, when we were near the resort, we met grace and benlow's family. haha. the resort we were staying at was THE LEGENDS GOLF AND COUNTRY RESORT. and when it says country, IT'S REALLY COUNTRY. far out in IN the COUNTRY. anyway, lunch was at 12.30am and we had some time to pass. went to check out the girls bunk. it was a VIP room. for the VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE. sighs. but i wasn't staying there. the room was really cool. it was carpet to every inch of the room. it even had a hallway. it was carpetted too. it even had a changing room with lockers and stuff for the girls to dump their stuff in to. everywhere is carpet except for the showers. also, me and a few others checked out the gym. the weights were REALLY rusty. it was a COOL and WONDERFUL gym.

lunch was really good. it was an 8 course chinese meal. though, we had to wait for the fantastic meal. we were then told that we had to proceed to some upstairs hall. we were then briefed and were handed our camp booklets. ooh! i was in the group FAITHFULNESS. it consisted of yanleen>groupleader, grace, me, paul, kim, marcus, daryl and jeanette.

most of the people in the camp got their room keys and some didn't and they had to wait. i was one of them. shared a room with steph and kim. we waited and waited and waited till like it was 3.30pm. could only enjoy the comfort of my room for awhile...cause our room was a far way from the main building.

it was games. lovely time. played captains ball. the team we were competing with was the adults. the PATIENCE group. it was like me, kim and jeanette had to play against our parents! it was like SURE lose. the adults had uncle ravi, uncle kelvin, uncle reuben, auntie jennifer, my daddy, woah. STRONG, POWER man. though we lost, we had great fun. and it turned out that all the youth groups lost. and all the adults won. no fair.

we then played volleyball. LOVE IT. me martin steph jo grace jon paul shanauld. LOVE VB. then it was washup. let me tell you. people who were not staying at the main building, we had our toilet OUTDOORS. every room had its own toilet, duh and it was covered REALLY well. concealed and everything. haha.

dinner next. wonderful dinner.

then it was the first fellowship meeting. those little sunday school kiddies went another place. well, the teaching was by Fred Canon David. really enriching and interesting sermon. woots. learnt about a life of close relationship with the Lord.

gym early in the morning. breakfast. ROTI PRATA. didn't get one. sad sad. would anyone care to treat me to roti prata? anyway, it was lesson two of fellowship learning. it was about paul's faithfulness in prayer.

then, we seperated for discussions and CLAP! went the THUNDER. it made the whole resort go to blackout mode. i bet some people screamed but FAITHFULNESS and MEEKNESS didn't. haha. some leisure time and it was lunch. 8 course meal again. then it was time when we had to look after the little kiddies while the parents went for their ladies and men's meeting. it was games. played floorball. woots. the team i was in scored 3 goals. 3-1. scored by me, then mel, then ben. woots. we rocked! shu did great too. blocking all those shots the others made. haha. then volleyball again with yanleen paul me martin jon jo steph and enyao. poor yanleen, she didn't know to play play vb properly and ended up with bruises all over! seriously. it was dinner, then fellowship learning lesson3. it was about a life of constant challenges for the Lord.

we, youths, then went to the place where there was an upstairs and downstairs. we had a taitee tournament! and bridge too. it was like a gambling den! but seriously fun. in bridge, there isn't really a winner. for the other two games, taitee and mahjong, andrew pflug was the overall WINNER. he's REALLY GOOD and he's only a sec1. *open mouthed gaping goldfish*

it was then FIFA WORLD CUP FOR ME. 11.45pm. me steph eunice grace and benlow. germany's opening match. not much fun la. LIGHTS OUT. sleep.

it was then leisure time. man. we youth spent the time playin PIG, POLARBEAR. anyway, it was lunch then SWIMMING! me jo steph and jeanette went swimming with luke, edward, nicholas and max. haha. have to look after them. THEN, it started to rain. the little boys went back to shower but we, four girls, went for the jacuzzi!. rawrr. shiok sia! we kinda went mad there. woah. didn't try the steam bath. after that, we went back to shower. oh, by the way, at this time, the adults were out at GIANT. don't know where. those adults are DURIAN crazy. for games, me steph jo jean uncle joen and ben low, went to the gym while the rest were in the room. WORK IT OUT! then washup. then BBQ dinner. man. i LOVE THE FOOD. especially the squid! yummy. the chicken wings too.

next was the talents surprise. hilarious act. paul martin and jon was GREAT. ABSOLUTELY GREAT. STUNNING. OUTSTANDING. SIMPLY BRILLANT. LUURRVVE IT. then there was also ben low and marcus. WOOTS. great performance. you two performed well. then, there were adults who also performed. haha. then it was WORLD CUP for some and GAMES for the youth. at this point of time, i was suffering from a headache. first time headache. was blr blur during the games. but FUN. especially double whacko. after some games, i felt more tumultous pain in my head and decided to rest. AND. was awoken up with a ball smacked into my face. I FORGIVE THE PERSON WHO DID THAT. went to my room to sleep.

breakfast. everyone was like LATE. was really tiredd. i ADMIT that i was falling asleep during the worship service. I'M SORRY. it was really borring. then it was phototaking time. then GOODBYE. some families, including me, went to the new jusco shopping centre. INCREDIBLY huge. shopping shopping and shopping. oh. had lunch with jon martin paul cass shaunauld nat marcus. ate at yoshinoya. shopping and shopping. BEAUTIFUL socks. SEXY shorts. FABULOUS shirts. WONDERFUL bag. HOT belt.

woots. watched poseidon yesterday! great movies but full of computer animation. everywhere. anyway, had meet the parents session first. did ushering duty. after that, played volleyball for awhile with the guys and then went off to meet shuyi and sihui for a movie. decided a poseidon. not a bad choice. you people MUST catch that movie. sorry shaun. anyway, i'm grounded.

ARGH! my handphone! it got STOLEN! anyway, it's LOST! it's MISSING. i feel handicapped without it! whoever has taken my handphone, please return it to me. please. :( return me my sim card my handphone and the battery along with the accesories that came with it. please. return sian's wallet inside. GOSH. her wallet contained 170++bucks inside!

the distance between my bag and to the locker was like 1++metres ONLY. i walked to my locker, opened it, took out some books, closed it and walked back in less than 1minute, AND IT WAS GONE! my books, bag, handphone and wallet was together and my wallet and handphone was together outside on my books beside my bag on the floor beside the bench. HOW CAN IT JUST DISAPPEAR LIKE THAT?!

i felt like crying during chem and amaths and emaths. i have never lost anything in my school life. i have never lost my wallet or handphone or textbook or workbook before. why must this happen to me? and on the 2nd last day of school.

please, the person who took it, just return it to me. i promise i won't hold any grudges. i will forgive and forget. please. i'm suffering from utter sadness :(

seriously tiredd. had syf training early in the morning to afternoon. and then after that, sometime after lunch, went for my badminton training. man. coach has so many students. don't wanna go there anymore. stick to tennis. haha. tennis got coach and mervyn from kids central :) sigh. i just feel so stressed out. school's ending on tuesday and meet the parents is on wednesday. what can miss hia say about me when she doesn't even teach me anything but lifeskills? mummy wants to see mdm toh. shit. my maths totally sucks man. chemistry too. expecting a d7. don't even understand a shit about those chemical and ionic equations. man. i love the practicals. not theory.

i'm BACK!!! i miss all of you sweetie-pies here in singapore! lemme now recall everything that happened in sabah.

day one
students who were going for obs sabah were to assemble in school at 1pm. at that time, the school was like having chinese mid-year oral. haha. i have no mid year exams! we were briefed on the process of getting from school to sabah. we had to board a bus to get to senai airport and take a plane from there to the kota kinabalu airport. the school hired this bus which was HOT PINK! i screamed! i didn't want to take a bus which was pink in colour! haha. anyway, the trip to senai airport was fun. ate in the bus. everybody was happy go lucky. senai airport was freaking small. like phnom penh airport but bigger. there wasTWO wonderful shops there. FAMOUS AMOS and DUNKIN' DONUTS. went to both shops. me joyyeo shuyi allicia eunice sian, practically did our 2.4km there. walking from end to end talking. bored to death. haha.

when we finally were able to board the plane, it was hot like hell in there. stupid air asia. really budget. the aircon was like shit la. only till like we were in the air when it was cool. then we were not allowed to eat outside food in the plane, but who cares. the food they sold were so expensive! RM4 for a cup of milo? RM6 for cup noodles? anyway, the all the air stewardess acted like they had PMS to we fmss students -_-" the journey was two hours. the sunset scenery was amazingly beautiful. oh yah. i brought a camera with a 1GB memory card and two batteries. and the 1GB memory card didn' t fit the camera but it still worked but there were lots of card errors. but it didn't totally die out on me.

arriving at kota kinabalu airport. the airport was really freakingly small. the ob group was splitted into two groups to fit the two small buses. my bus group went crazy and kept on singing songs. by the time we reached the centre, it was already 7pm plus and it was dark and we put our bags outside the dining hall and proceeded in for dinner. this was the first encounter with the annoying mosquitoes. dinner was okay. we had to wash our own plates and utensils. after that, we were divided into our groups. i have no idea how we were divided. anyway, my group was group3. our instructors were mark and sarah. the people in were me cuifen gina shahidah and allicia amar liangfu yongchuan enping calvin danielsim and khaidan. one first thought, i thought that the group wouldn't work out. too clique-ish and stuff like that. but i was SO WRONG.

after in groups, our group went to collect our linen. it looked clean. we heard some noises above us and saw some things hanging. it looked like BATS but it was not. it was just some birds. swallows i think. and the shit pile they made was disgusting. and if you wanted to sit on the floor, you had to sit in a place away from those many shit piles. we then proceeded to our bunks with all our luggages. our group shared the bunk with group2. haha. then, we were on our own with some free time. then it was sleeping time, and i couldn't sleep. my pillow was so HARD but i fell asleep anyway.

day two
woke up at 5.30am and chiong to washup and brush. had to go for morning exercise at 6am at the field. serious mosquito feeding. haha. the exercise way weird. we had to like run to touch the trees. haha. then it was breakfast. was some noodles and kaya toast. after that was photo taking. group photo and whole ob group photo. then it was team dynamics. wow. lots of hugging and supporting each other. like crocodile crossing and bench arrangement. haha. don't care whether guy or girl, just touch la. haha. i have already started liking my group at this point of time. then it was lunch. lunch was okay la. then we had somemore team dynamics while group1 and 2 prepared for their sailing expedition and then they sailed off around sunset that time. then it was dinner and dinner was okay. had to wash our own stuff. oh yah. in the morning, don't know which group had to wash the toilet. at night, we had crocker range briefing and started packing our stuff. haha. i had to carry the biggest pot and two packets of maggi mee. plus my two days clothing and other miscellanous stuff. gosh. it was H-E-A-V-Y. then me and cuifen walked out of the building and saw the wonderful moon. you could see the covered black and the shinning moon against the dark blue sky and beautiful stars. really beautiful.oh yah. when packing for our 4 day hike, all 5 girls were fooling around. haha. we were siao. throwing the stuff even though we had a chain formed and played monkey. then it was nighty night.

day three
morning exercise at the beach. saw cows having their stroll. the parent cows were really protective of their lil' ones. haha. then we had to run from one end of the beach to the other. wasn't tiring. really. then it was off to crocker range. took our packed lunch. the bus was very dirty but comfortable. slept in the bus. reached crocker range. i was standing right behind those two navigators, daniel and yongchuan. haha. amazingly, though it was raining and everything was slippery, i didn't fall at all. we started the hike at around11am and hike all the way till 12 for lunch. first encounter with leeches. and i screamed when i dropped my chickenwing into the river and not seeing a leech. it began to rain non-stop. it was already 5pm and the sun was setting. around 6pm it was darkness. i quickly took out my torch and quickly went to pace daniel. i was the 2nd in the row. behind me was enping who was supporting shahidah and then amar. it was really thundering on us. around some narrow and curvy bends, it was really creepy and i was alone. daniel was too fast. i tripped over some root and almost fell off the cliff. luckily i managed to grab another firm root to pull myself up. it was tough and my bag was heavy. managed to pull myself up. and nobody saw me fall. i also didn't scream or whatever. just kept going.

when we finally reached the campsite, it was freakin dark and we sent up the tents in the dark and everybody just piled into it regardless of gender. we were all too cold tired and hungry to care. thankyou mark for helping us make the tent pegs. he is a MAN. inside the tent, we were safe from the rain but not the cold. it was war with the leeches. that was my first encounter with leeches. i screamed and teared when i just lifted up my shirt and saw two leeches sucking my blood! luckily gina dared to pull it off and found that i had another two on my back. i had quite a number on my legs but i could pull them up myself. we just pull them up and squash them up in leaves and threw them out. but the guys, haiyo, they had war with the leeches. they sprayed OFF! at the leeches and sprinkled prickly heat. they did everything to keep the leeches out. oh yah. leeches can't stand the prickly heat and mosquito repellant. it spoils their skin. doing that would bother the leech so painfully they it would curl up and burst to bleed. horrible sight. we guys and girls changed into dry tees with the torches off so nobody could see anything. haha. no peeping. though i was warm, i was still cold. and the space constraint made it worse. i was really SQUEEZED UP. not much sleep for me.

day four
i woke up happy to see the first rays of sunlight. there was quite some warmth. mark had come over to wake us up. we took down the tents and started to set up our fire and cooking stuff. i went to find y-sticks and argh, a vine implanted some cuts onto my left big toe. it became infected over the next few days. anyway after breakfast, we cooked lunch and packed it in. then we were off again. packed up the rest of the tents and groundsheets. argh. had to wear my soggy muddy sock again. trekking and trekking again. up and down, left and right. crossing rivers. for lunch, we camped at some small river. haha. filled up our jerry cans. then, it started to rain after lunch. soon, our formation became that i was in between calvin and cuifen. haha. we had lots of fun. cui was the funniest. no sooner that she said that she was very zai (pro) as she did not fall, she fell on the mud. instructor mark saw that and he just roared with laughter. calvin and i also laughed. managed to reach the village around 4pm. sang 'top of the world'. scenery was brillant. amar liangfu and wesley were simply hilarious with this hole. for that night, we stayed in a villager's home. they had dogs which were always hungry but obedient. the villager's shower was like heaven but cold. at least we girls were clean. the guys bathed somewhere else. i was really very tired so right after dinner, i slept. i only woke up at some times to put on more clothing. my friends said that i slept like some pig.

day five
woke up feeling real refreshed! brushed my teeth. only gina and i did. the rest...yuck.... anyway, we packed up, thanked the villages and it was off. trekking again. had lunch at a river again. we had to cross this bamboo bridge. al of us crossed it already. but when our instructor sarah crossed it, the bridge broke and luckily she fell on a grass patch and not into the river. whew! as for mark, he just walked across the remains of the bridge effortlessly. what a man.

when we finally got to the village around 2pm, i was the first girl to reach there. group4 was already there. and so i was quite infront of my group, then i saw mr ganesan run out from some shelter half naked!!! he only had a blue towel to cover his lower part. i screamed and covered my eyes. haha. then i turned around the corner and had a shock of my life. the whole of the group4 guys were bathing half naked! i screamed again. then shahidah came to see why i screamed, she herself screamed when she saw the topless guys. really. it was a shock. we then went to bathe. wash our head only la. actually we were supposed to help the villagers there but it was raining heavily so we stayed inside playing. haha. played truth and dare with cuifen sophia gina amar liangfu and wesley. man. liangfu acutally dared to do the dares with made him do. he really had nothing to lose. hilarious game. then it was dinner. i helped to wash the plates and utensils. about 20 plus stuff to wash. it's a lot. then after dinner, it was the cultural exchange time. the kedahsans had their eagle dance and gong presentaion while we just sang 'the more we get together' in many languages and our school song. haha. nice. took some photos and stuff like that.

and we, dynamos, realised that liangfu had a retard face. haha. joking. oh yah. my grp had a tough time choosing a group name. first it was penguins then it was something else then something else then headhunters then something else then finally dynamo. we didn't even know why we chose that name. our instructor sarah just suggested the name dynamo and we took it. haha. it was then bedtime. mr ganesan told us 'bedtime stories' which were actually ghost stories. i slept inbetween alvin hui and sophia lim. haha. my legs were at enping's. at some point of time, i really needed to go pee. i got sian to go with me. it was really scary. with only a torch. then i went back to sleep. this time everybody woke up and it was only like 2am and we were all feeling cold. so we put all our feet together. man. it was very warm and heavy and the same time.

day six
woke up feeling cold again. me gina shahidah and allicia had our breakfast later because we were doing the washing. i helped packed the lunch in. then we were off again. our final hike. after quite sometime, we came to a river and we had to cross it. mark, our instructor, the MAN-LIEST MAN OF ALL MEN, went to test out the current. too strong. so we had to cross it by a log. hilarious sight. crossing the river on a log was like humping the log! me n cuifen immediately thought of igallop. the sickest invention. haha. when we finally reached the fish pond, we had our maggi lunch. poor shahidah, she injured her shin the day before and it became worse when she well. so we made our way to the fish pond first. after that, mark came rushing to us saying that one girl had to stay with shahidah and them while the rest of us catch up with the group4. gina voluteered. so we were off.

i was called to go to the front. haiyo. made me pissed off. group4's instructor johnny kept on playing with the leeches. irritating. no wonder the weaklings liked his pace. it was already 4pm and still i couldn't see the finishing point. my morale really dropped. then i started telling my lame jokes to boost people's morale. it brought laughter. haha. my bag was really heavy by now. i even carried shahidah's part of the load. heavy sia. still i perserve on. didn't fall or anything. when we finally saw and heard sounds of the cars on the road, everybody pratically screamed and lit up! we were happy! i teared when i finally saw the road and the bus waiting for us. there was a steep slope to scale but i didn't care. i was like sliding and jumping and when i finally reached the road, i hugged a pole. it turned out to be an electricity pole. haha. no lightning. everybody was rejoicing! hugs and kisses were made. haha. after like 10 hours in the jungle with rain and cold, it was good to see the road. i sat with enping on the bus. leeches everywhere. one crawled to my ear and another to my arm when i was sleeping. another two creeped into each feet. and all 4 were tiger leeches. in the bunk, i pulled all of them out and the bites wouldn't stop bleeding! even plastering them with many plasters, it didn't work.it overflowed out of the plaster. changed the plasters over and over again.haiyo.

i was really very tired so right after dinner, i washed my clothes and shoes and slippers and dried them and then plonked to dreamland with cuifen and allicia. wonder how come sophia and gina and shahidhah had so much energy left in them.

day six
eveybody was late. didn't brush teeth or whatever. we were all so tired that we overslept. supposed to be at the beach house by 6am but i woke up at 6am and immediately woke everyone up! i was the only one who could wake up! me and cui chiong to the beachhouse. we were one of the earliest. haiyo. we had a light exercise and then we went for breakfast. best breakfast ever. after that, we had to pack our bags for sailing. lesser stuff to bring. we set off around like 11am. i learned how to setup the sails and everything. haha. the jig sail. we were much faster than the group4. then it rained. perfect time for a swim and we had already set up our tents and everything. we all ran and plonked into the water. played monkey. then later group4 joined us. haha. then some guys went to play soccer. me n cuifen went to join them. it was freezing cold out of the water and it was raining and there was wind. after a while i was warm but all the running. haha. tackled wesley and i didn't fall. sturdy. he fell. i never want to be the goalkeeper. something like striker. haha. played midfield also. haha. poor wesley. kena by me twice. when the rain stopped we started on our dinner. cooked a buffet. haha. everyone of us opened up by then. when it became dark, me and allicia went to change. accompanied gina. wonderful sunset. dinner was good. sandflies was irritating. haha.

around like 10pm, our group went for a group walk from one end of the beach to the other end. haha. great fun. then after that, it was ghost story time. nice effect. around 11pm, i was really very tiredd and so me and cuifen followed amar and the rest into the tent. slept like a pig again. sailing was tiring.

day seven
woke up. we prepared a good breakfast for the instructors. yummy. was like a buffet. we even had watermelon was breakfast. haha. we then set up the sailing boat again. wow. in the morning, the beach waters had tons of jellyfish! dangerous man. their sting is poisonous. we soon set off. dynamo was very slack that day la. we just wanted the tow boat to tow us back. ooh. i got wonderfully tanned. haha. lovely. the moment we reached back at the obs centre, we jumped for joy! haha. all of us immediately splitted jobs. i did the pot cleaning. haha. its amazing how you can clean soot off with sand. after pot washing, it was lunch time. then i went back to the bunk. it's was a mess. anyway, i still loved it. and i couldn't find my camera. i was super distressed. i went shouting to amar. he too was shocked for his own camera went haywire. after my bath, i went to lie on the bed to try and think where i last put it. in the end, i fell asleep. then it was time for some high elements. but it was raining so it was cancelled. and was changed to some reflecting. had to write a letter. then i went back to the bunk to pack and find my camera. at last, i found it. it was near the dustbin. -_-". some idiot. whoever put that there is ----------. anyway, stuffed everything into the fila luggage bag. then it was like 5pm and it was dinner time. after dinner, we had to assemble already to leave for the kota kinabalu airport. yay! mark came with us to see us off. real touching. and even the guys cried.

on the plane, this time i sat gina and mr ganesan! in front was cuifen liangfu and amar. haiyo. no fun. those two girls slept like pigs. i bought cup noodles on the place and liangfu bought a cup of milo. thanks liangfu for helping me talk to the stewardess. we got pretty pissed with the air stewardess and so did mr ganesan. we reached senai airport and was disappointed that dunkin donuts wasn't open. took the hot pink bus back again. to fmss. wow. miss lim wasn't there but mr ow was. wowowow. had a final debrief. haha. my daddy pooled shuyi home. haha. thats it.


so, on sunday morning, i slept at 3am woke up at 10am and slept again at 1pm and woke up again at 5pm and had dinner. haha. didn't go church.

pon school today. got mc. got medicine. stupid doctor. tmr got chem test. shit you marktan.

anyway, dynamo was really crazy. we had phrases that went like this:
"now arh?"
"then when?"
"me arh?"
"then who?"
"sure anot?"

haha.

i remember the time we just all talked horny in the tent. HAHA. oops. explict language used. in every group there were weak links. for group1, it was joavan. for group2, it was raoul. for group3, it was allicia. for group4, it was rachel. my group, dyanamo, was simply crazy. we could crack jokes anywhere anytime. haha. i'm already missing my instructors mark and sarah. sobs. i miss sabah. :) i want my dynamo jersey! DYANAMO#12! my register number! woots. haha. we are man!

TOMORROW, i'll be leavinn' for OBS SABAH!! WOOTS!! yipee! first, we'll be meeting in school then take some buses will take us to the causeway to senai airport where we would be taking some BUDGET airline to sabah.

woots. i'm leavingg singapore for sabah in like three days time! sabah sabah sabah. man. we'll be taking some REALLY BUDGET airline at senai airport to get to sabah. leavinn in the afternoon and only coming back on 6th may, which is a sunday, at 2AM IN THE MORNING! i don't think i'll go to school on monday though i got like more than a day to sleep. a week away from studies! haha.

haiyo. got one good news and bad news.
good news is that i got top for geography. and it's the second time. i actually thought i'll fail. but apparently i didn't. i scored 23/30. and thats the highest. -_-"
bad news is that i did poorly for that emaths paper. 16/30. it was like a very easy paper? anyway, i usually fail my maths tests so its a miracle that i passed.

it was on a saturday afternoon. i'm so sorry sihui. i met DERRICK HOH WEI JIAN. haha. i was buying stuff for my obs sabah and suddenly there he was beside me talking in english and chinese to the saleslady. he's tall. taller than me. and sihui, he has hair on his head. haha. stay true to your BEN. haha.

BIRTHDAY 2006

13th april, thursday
i love my DEAREST FRIENDS! you people are the greatest! thanks for brightening up my day. i sure had a SMILE on my face the WHOLE DAY!! except for recess. those two female dogs shouldn't have cut my queue. it really ruined my appetite. I AM FIFTEEN!

i was pretty unlucky on my birthday. early in the morning, the carpark was dark. i didn't see the lorry's mirror and i bang into it. then, when entering my dad's car, i didn't bend low enough and hit my head AGAIN. then, during physics lesson, i almost slipped and fell. not enough friction. then, during amaths lesson, i tripped over my bag strap and fell. it was HUMILATING. then, during chinese, my hip hit into the whiteboard's edge :(

thanks for all the presents! the wonderful toys, stationery, and stuff. haha. thanks ruth, julien, vincent and edmund for the ripcurl bag. it's the first! thanks mark ho for the box of chocolates. thanks joanne for the toothbrush. thanks EVERYBODY. this year, i think the BEST PRESENT would be from huang yuliang. haha. it's the best and i really like it. it's a bear carrying a bouquet of live flowers!! so sweet! i think it's really expensive. haha.

did t-zone duty with xiangfeng. haha. ended up playing the xbox. MAN! she's SO GOOD at that kungfu game. went home ALONE at 5pm. sigh. had to go home alone on my birthday. it was the least expected thing.

for dinner, my family went to jack's place for dinner. haha. had my favourite steak. yum. then went to get a cake to celebrate with my friends. it was cheesecake with strawberries. sweet.

so, my dad sent me to shuyi's house. i went up and pressed the doorbell. i could hear the four girls, shuyi sihui allicia and christabel, SCREAMING. haha. it was in shuyi's room when they gave me my present. haha. i really love it. there was a blue plastic bag. there were 14 items inside. the plastic bag is considered as another 1 item. EVERYTHING WAS IN BLUE IN COLOUR. haha. LOVE IT. thanks girls! haha. the funniest gift was the COIN.

we then proceeded to allicia's house for our SLEEPOVER '06. we put down our things and did some snooping around. then sat on the sofa to watch the 40 year old virgin. it's an nc-16 movie. i'm only 15. boy was it sick. we only started watching it like 12 midnight. and it ended around 2am. we then went to the room and talked and talked and talked and talked and played and acted. haha. we only ended till like 4.30am!!! and I REVEALED MY THREE YEAR LONG SECRET. hush hush. haha.

14th april, friday
SLEEPOVER'06 consisted of me, allicia, christabel, sihui and shuyi.we only woke up till like 11am. didn't go to church for service and dance practice. sorry. i feel super guilty. we quickly bathed and got dressed and proceeded to town. SHOOTS. it was raining CATS AND DOGS AND MONKEYS AND GORILLAS. haha. we bought an umbrella. it was a spoilt umbrella. it got my addidas shoe wet. it got all of us wet. we went to cinelesiure. went to buy tickets for the movie black night. haha. it isn't a very good horror movie so don't watch it. it didn't leave much impact on me. haha. DON'T WATCH IT. we had a late lunch at like 3pm. so tons of fairsians. ncc juniors and seniors. lots of fairsians. it seems that cineleisure is a fairsian hangout. oh yah. we took neoprints too and guess who was there? it was yuyang from that campus superstar. he was with his girlfriend. then a lot of girls wanted to take with him but he said no and got real pissed off. even the counter ladies wanted a photo with him.

allicia pratically slept through the whole horror movie. sihui and bel practically screamed and laughed throughout the whole movie. shuyi practically watched the whole movie. i practially had tons of emotions throughout the whole movie. then bel had to go back. her parents are strict. we went shopping after the movie. and we wandered aimlessly in orchard before going back to cineleisure for dinner. ate at my gaillee. haha.

okay. the table beside our table was a guys table. and they kept on looking at us. when i picked up my bro's call and the conversation was about home, a guy from the table said that : oh. ta yao hui jia le ( she wants to go home already). and when i didn't finish the coke a guy said : ta mei you ba coke he wan ( she didn't finish drinking the coke). allicia and i found them weird and turned our body direction away from them. then when a group of girls came in a guy said : na ge bitch hen chou ( that bitch is so ugly). sorry for the use of vulgarities. we then left quickly after dinner and proceeded back to shuyi's home.4 of us

on the mrt, there were this group of guys. kept looking in our direction also. if i wasn't a councillor or a christian and if i was a mean girl, i most probably would have said this : what the **** are you looking at? haha.

ever since that food poisoning incident, sigh, more teachers seems to know me, including miss elaine lim, miss wong bick guan and mr lim sin heng. oh! mr lim and my daddy are GOOD FRIENDS. haha.

yes! i'm now a sergeant! whoohoo! yesterday was enrolment and promotion parade. muhaha. haha. being the timer for the parade added some responsibility. yesterday was several seniors last day of training. sad. and poh huat sir's last day. it was the first time i had seem him cry and laugh. man. we're gonna take over soon la. so pressurizing.

today was sports day. did first aid duty. man. boring. yawns. i'll never do first aid duty ever again.

yes! it's confirmed that i'm going for obs sabah. here i come! there's gonna be like 30 boys and only like 18 girls?! haha.

food poisoning

haha okayy. i kena food poisoning on friday. the friday of the school holidays. due to red cross LTC camp. haha. miss tai sent us to the nearest clinic. so far the symptoms were diahorrea only. but as the day progressed, i was given a bed at campsite to rest. as the time passed, i grew to have a fever and becoming dehydrated. by the time my daddy came to fetch me around 4pm, i was weak like anything already. with fever and diahorrea and dehydration. i was hungry but i was already too sick to eat.

to me, i believe that the food poisoning was caused by eggs. some believed it was the mushrooms. to some it was the rice. to some it was the veggies. to the newspapers, it was nothing. they just mentioned that there was no meat involved. to others, it was canned food.

miss lim wrote a letter to my parents saying that the FOOD WAS CLEAN and the TEACHERS TESTED THE FOOD. it is so RUBBISH. if the food was clean, how could we even have gotten food poisoning?! and all 13 of us?! and teachers and instructors didn't taste test the food too. if they did, they would be poisoned too! to me, this is absolute rubbish. but this shows she cares. so yeah.

man. i slept on and on. surviving on the medicine that the chai chee clinic gave. that mediciine sucks. it didn't improve my condition. on sunday was like the worst day. i was dying every single moment of the day. the time passed so fast! but one good thing, everytime i slept, i didn't have nightmares. but in fact peaceful and nice dreams. haha.

on monday, went to family doctor. dr neo said that i was dehydrated and fever and diahorrea which is food posioning. then gave me medicine.

tuesday, sucha painful day.

on wednesday, went hospital. NUH. the doctor and the medicine worked. it rehydrated me too. the news also came to me that i didn't get into obs sabah. i was shocked! i was certain i would at least had a place in there. but in the end, i was too sick. only slept at like one plus.

on thurs, i was on the road to recovery. though i still had pains in the mornings and nights. still an awful day. but i made up my mind, if i had felt well enough, i would go to sch on friday, but..

on friday, the morning pains came again. freaking pain la. didn't go to sch. but in the afternoon, i was feeling better. then, my maid came to tell me that there was no more salt powder for hydration. i was like.. huh?! i need that to survive! anyway,

saturday came, no PAINS. i was delighted. so for dinner, i had fried rice, man. the pain came again. but it went away as quickly as it came. =) then there was cell bible study. haha. lots of wonderful. i could eat sushi!! not many little kids. whew.

sunday! went to church. no pain. no diahorrea. it stopped like on saturday. found out that i was in the dance. i'm a demon! hahas. so funny. tiring but fun.

anyway, my skin had begun peeling. looked like some kind of skin diesase. argh!! so ugly. it's like skin disease. all councillors got it! hahas. anyway, i'm dark! quite dark. haha.

haha. dreamt of my first friend at cambodia takeo. haha. matarchew. that little guy was my first friend. because i didn't know their language, when i asked for his name, his friends replied saying that his name was : for eating. it may nt seem funny to you. but it is to me. argh. all the memories!

COUNCILEXPEDITION2006

well. i'm back! well. this is the council's 2nd expedition. the 1st expedition, we kayaked for 28km? this year, it's 43km. 43km! it's almost the height os singapore!

day one
didn't go to church. gathered in school then proceeded to sembawang yatch club. over there, we prepared the kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets. so, my partner was brian chan. it was like almost nighttime when we finished everything. had dinner then a briefing by mr aw. then it was supper. delicious supper. a sugary doughnut and a packet of milo. then it was sleeping time. slept in a tent. 7 people in a 8 man tent. it consisted of me, julia tan, constance, yiling, fion hong, eunice and desiree. we actually had our own sleeping group from last year, new additions are fion and desiree. haha. slept at like 10.30am and we didn't sleep till like 11 cause some girls in other tents were like making so much noise. we slept and then woke up altogether at 1am. cause mr lim was talking too loudly. i then slept at like 2.30am and woke up at 3 plus. only had like 2 hours sleep.

day two
had breakfast and warm-ups at we set off. me n brian's kayak was number 14. cool number. anyway, was teaching him how to turn. i sat in front and he sat behind. i was appointed the position of 2nd i/c. joy sim was the overall i/c. being the 2nd i/c meant that my kayak had to be in front all the time. so, we kayaked for like 3 hours. during this time, fatigue was still not a problem. but the current and wind was irritating. kept on blowing us off course and we had to like turn back on course again and again. everybody was tired at the end of 3 hours, but we still have not reached our finish point. finish point was at pasir ris. everybody was too tired already. so the route became like this. sembawang yatch club-> pasir ris park -> changi point -> pasir ris park. at the pasir ris park we had our luch. and i was like giddyily tired. was falling asleep. but after lunch, got some energy back. the trip to changi point and back to pasir ris park was freakishly tired. i was overtaken by fatigue. i could even kayak with my eyes closed and sleeping. i don't know about brian. the stupid lifejacket was giving me back and neck problems. i was silently tearing around the kelong area near pasir ris park. i really needed a rest. i was wondering when would we be reaching. i really felt like giving up but that was a NO-NO for me. i could never give up. i would never give up.

finally, we reached the shore. we had a little debrief with miss ng. i was like falling asleep. totally bushed out. we then pitched our tents. student relations and discipline got to bathe first. me eunice and fion were at the toilets first. only two cubicles and there was such a long queue. so we three bathed together. (guys don't get horny kay) we bathed in our swimsuits on. then went out of the shower to the toilet bowl cubicle to change. the rest of the girls in the toilets were like gasping at us saying : man, you people are super fast! so, the rest also did the same thing. some even five girls in one cubicle. haha. but those girls who had the thing bathed alone.duh.

had dinner after the bath. then debrief again. almost dozed off again. i wonder how the rest could stay awake. oh yeah. i only had 2 hrs plus of sleep and the rest had like 6 hours. then it was supper. i totally couldn't wait to sleep. oh yeah. during rest time/ free time, me julien and jocelyn were just talking. we were talking about synapse. we agreed that acs barker prefects are just simply handsome. it was like jocelyn was crazy over ian, justin and joseph. julien was like crazy over nathaniel and adriel. as for me, haha, no one. :)

brushed my teeth washed my face and practically ran to my tent to sleep. slept at 9.30pm and woke up at 4.40am. i didn't want to be covered or based by the sleeping bags as i was like covered in fibreglass and fibreglass cuts. had my pillow with me.

day three
woke up at 4.40am. some girls even woke up late. the guys wer early AS USUAL. rushed to change, brush and wash. had breakfast. this day, my partner was yiting. my group, had practically so many weak-bodied people. especially girls. our group wasn't strong like group 1. so, i had to sacrifice brian chan for liang yiting. yiting wasn't bad. luckily, we had the current and wind on our side. set off at 8am reached there at 12. we did it in 4 hours! 1/2 hours earlier than yesterday!

during the journey, i saw two jellyfishes! i was like so excited! one was pretty small. but the other was freaking big! yiting rested a lot during this journey. haha. you can say she almost killed me. haha. then, lanz and jocelyn capsized. lanz was shaking too much in the kayak that they just toppled over. poor jocelyn. also, during the journey, we encountered a super large wave. it was glorious fun! our kayaks were like practically in the air! haha. the alleviate our spirits, we sang songs. we didn't care if it was out of tune but alvin hui is the greatest joker i've ever known. poor julia tan. she had to endure so much. haha.

when we reached sembawang, group 1 was already there and then helped us with the kayaks and the lifejackets and the paddles. haha. group2 was simply tired out. we had lunch then bathed. it was the best bath i had ever taken. washed the salt water out of my hair and had the best warm bath ever. i looked at myself and had the ugliest tan i had ever had in my life. the tan covers my face and no neck tan at all. my whole arms are tanned but it cuts off 10cm from the shoulder. as for my legs, the feet are a little tanned and my thighs are burnt especially my knees. the rest of my legs are tanned a little. had lunch after that.

when it was time to go back to school, i practially slept soundly while waiting for the bus to arrive. refreshed, i didn't sleep on the bus so i took pictures of everyone in bus2 sleeping. haha. :)

student relations had to wash three tents as our department was so big. so yeahh. after it, went home. sleep like a big the moment i reached home and only woke up till like it was 10pm. had dinner and watched tv till 12.30am then i slept again.

haha. i will never forget this year's council expedition 2006.

man. me jocelyn and julien are just simplay crazy about synapse and acs barker guys. then ryan mitchell and shaun are like okay with the plmgs girls but not shaun. haha. he's the crazy one.

SYNAPSE2006

gosh. going to synapse wasn't a mistake. i had great fun. all the fun laughter peace and joy we had. and the t-shirt is so cool! okay. whatever. the games we played were interesting and crazy. waterbomb battleships, concoction and stuff like that...

i belonged in group 1 . haha. though we got the lowest for performance but we got 1ST for games! yes!

okay. synapse is a leaders gathering. this year, it consisted of fairfield methodist, raffles girls', methodist girls', yuying secondary, paya lebar methodist girls, and anglo-chinese barker and victoria.

we almost got lost and that stupid taxi driver cheated us of our money. stupid ass.

okay. team members were me, kimberley, dionne, pamela, rehka, aaron and not forgetting our group leaders, bryan and genevive. man. i love you guys. all the laughter we shared. this rocks man. and i abosoulutely cannot believe that my team leader, bryan, his aunty is mrs grace fong! oh my goodness!

national footdrill competition 06
well. we lost. 1st was raffles insitution. 2nd was cedar girls. 3rd was tanjong katong.
i didn't cry, i teared. well. honestly, i did put in all my effort. but i shall not start pointing fingers. we have our faults. mistakes were made. fumbles here and there.
anyway, after the competition, we went to esplanade. most of the squad members went. we spent LOTS of time there. but for me. i was thinking. thinking a lot. also, i was stoning. stoning alot. till i fell asleep. i fell asleep with my eyes open! now, if i can do that during lessons, that will be ABSOLUTELY great. well. we waited till the VIs arrived and we went for dinner. we da pao food from everywhere and had an ' illegal gathering ' under an escalator and had our debrief there. man. no matter where poh huat - sir goes, he looks pissed. he always carries his stern look everywhere he goes. i don't think i have ever seen him smile before.
man. i think i'm gonna die for that LTC camp. they say that yu ching sir would be 4 times worse than poh huat. die.
well. after dinner, some ppl left, and it was only left with me huiling, yuliang, joanne, yuming, hengguang, iryshad, eduardo, saleha, nurul atiqah, ginyong and of course not FORGETTING, my dearest f-partner fion. haha. hengguang really posted something nice on the fountain of wealth and i managed to film it down.

TOMORROW footdrill competition

oh my. tomorrow's my footdrill compeition. and we're competeing with the whole singapore's red cross units. i know my school is competing against raffles insitution, cedar girls, singapore girls. yeah. schools like that. anyway, it's my second time joining the competition. lots of newbies inside. man. they are like freaking scared and nervous because of tmr. i don't think i'll be scared. watching the movie zathura now. man. it's so funny and nice and cool. err.

today sunday

went to church today and went home after that. had to study. so many things to do. study for chem test. then do 3 stupid long and boring chinese online homework. boring shit. also need to polish boots later on. oh. by the way, the movie REAL-the movie is gone. you can only get the dvd or vcd now. really, if you're a die hard fan of real madrid, REAL is the movie for you.

went orchard with shuyi sihui yibei wilson and mark tan. had some trouble deciding on a show. sigh. everytime we go out, we have trouble making decisions. wore my penguin earrings today! anyway, REAL was the movie we watched in the end. there's this part which was super funny la. it suddenly talked about soccer and it was related to physics biology and chemistry! it's freaking funny and thatt guy was like speaking so fast! hilarious. we had our movie at cineleisure cinema 6. the smallest and the most cosiest. oh yah. before the show, we had lunch. you wouldn't believe the stuff we talked! haha. also, we went arcade. both mark tan n wilson lost to shuyi at daytona! they lost to a girl! HAHA!

after the show, wilson and mark tan slipped away. left the girls. after neoprints, yibei slipped away. then all of us went home.

though this may seem not meaningful, but it's really good to have another get-together. finally. man. all the laughs we had today. :D

my position : 13
at first, i was very depressed because of my position. from 6 to 13. i even cried. but whatever. it's the B DIVISION. and i'm not even from a sports cca. i was like thinking, i'm not from a sports cca, i don't train every week, but it's already so good to be in the 13th position. i knew that this year's cross country for me wouldn't be good. i was already half-crying in the 'forest'. on the highway, it was tiring. i didn't even bother to run faster when erin was like somewhere behing me. the slope to the highway was a killer. went to king albert's macdonalds for luch. practically the whole fairfield was there.

24th feb 06
i just feel burderned everyday. i really want to be free. i'm failing everything. i am not doing aswell as what my potential can do. chem test on monday. my mother told me to just memorise. i think i really need to go home after YE to study. i'm really doing badly. i only have amaths and emaths tuition teacher. he's good.

i cannot study or work under pressure. pressure stresses me up. if i panic/ stress out before a test, i won't be able to think. i'll completely blank out. so, i took my time for today's a maths test, it was shit. out of the 6 questions i only managed 4 and i'm not even sure i'll get full marks for all 4. it's upon 30! die. i really felt like crying today. it's really very depressing. don't wanna mention.

you may be wondering why i cry so much, well, people have been telling me to cry and not keep my sorrows inside. i don't cry. i just tear. i think i'll need to run around the neighbourhood soon. do you know running actually alleviates my mood? it kinda takes away the stress in me! haha.

school cny celebrations
well. i wore a sarong kebaya on that day. sarah also wore one! ooh.. nice figure. haha. anyway, my class girls were enthu in dressing up but NOT the boys. i think only two boys wore an ethnic costume. haha. mark and luke. there were girls who wore qipao, cheongsam, and some others la. it was nice seeing everybody. anyway, me eunice wilson and clemence made a hamper. haha. the darlie colgate spoiled the image. it was black white and green.
after the cny celebrations, i went out with shuyi and the rest. oh. lennard was there too! people who went : the 5 ESMM, allicia, joy yeo, yiling, lennard, fernando, brian, keith, jacon, nathanael lee, jing ming and a few more others. watched FEARLESS. so touching! cried. all the girls did. fearless is jet li's last movie he's acting in. must watch. it's an nc-16 rated movie. hey. i'm ALMOST sixteen. haha. everyone of us bought a handphone accessory in all diff colours!
after outing, went to uncle's house for a pernankan dinner. he's my dad's second eldest brother. haha. dinner was great. watched mr and mrs smith. oh yeah. kochi's dog ran out of the house and ran up three stories! poor daddy and kochi had to catch it. it was a funny sight. all of the three families went to a nursery to buy plants. and over there, it was the first time in many years which i plucked a pussy willow. haha.

chinese new year eve
went for dinner with my cousins and uncles and auntys on my mother's side. my grandfather came along too. he had actually quitted smoking many years ago but i dunno why one of my uncle offered and persisted him to smoke one. such a dimwit! don't you know that this will shorten his life?! dumb. do you want our grandfather, your father to kick the bucket earlier?! siao.
after dinner, went to melodi's house.was at heritage view. another day with ewok the dog. ( surprisingly my aunty named the dog ewok ). anyway, it was like around 10pm when we set off the parachute poppers. it was quite a funny sight to see the little ones struggling to burst open the popper. haha. the way they squirm and complain. went home around 1am as we're watching some chinese new year show on tv. could see the fireworks they set off at chinatown.

chinese new year day one
woke up late. anyway it's a holiday! in the morning, had to bai nian to my parents. haha. first time i've done it in years. then as a family we set off to visit my grandparents who had already kicked the bucket. this year, the workers are quite friendly, then wished us happy new year and they even added the word sit behind. not bad. are they asking for a red packet? haha. then, we visited my daddy's cousin's mother. i have a VERY COMPLICATED family tree. then, we visited my father's mother, i call her mama. she's aging. some of the other ghui's were there! including ewok. haha. the hyper-cute dog. we then left to go to church. haha. for awhile. just attended the worship and listened to my father's scripture reading and we left. quietly. we then to guboy's house. pronounced as coo-boy. he has two daughters and one son. they are my uncles and aunties. the elder daughter is getting married somewhere in september. the younger daughter is currently in a relationship, her boyfriend is good looking and she's pretty. then the son, he's sec4 and he's my uncle. he has pierced ears. two on his left ear. do you know if a guy pierce his right ear, he's a gay? he's so cool. and good looking too. he looks very familiar. he's name is super unique. i don't even know how to spell it! it's pronounced as grillkris or grillchris or krillchris or whatever la. super unique name. he plays the drums. like my bro. he's super shy la. he only plays the drum when only youngsters like us are around, if there are adults in his room, he won't play. had dinner at his house. wonderful dinner. oh he likes vegetables too. i think. on this day i was wearin orange and white. went home after that. oh happy birthday wilson.

chinese new year day two
woke up extremely late. but it's okay, holiday! went to mama's house for lunch. it was sherwin's birthday! ewok was there again. anyway the troupe consisted of my family, melodi's family, kochi n husband and stacey's family. we all set off and went to houses. visiting. house to house to house to house to house to house to house to house. bushed out. last house was melodi's grandmother's house. we kids gambled using scrabble words as coins to play the game poker and banluck. err. sorry. no real money involved. went home pretty late. oh. on this day, i was wearing white and blue.

had lessons in the morning. usual school life. it's become a routine. study like siao for five weekdays then rest and blank out during the two weekends. life's like that. argh.. eyebags. oh also, i'm still not accustommed to the guys wearing their long pants. it's been only 3 days? as for red cross, we played captain's ball with oranges and capsicum. stinks. also, i'm sorry for stepping on people's feet. i jump, you come near, i land on you. after red cross, i was sooo stressed out that i went for a run. 8 rounds only la. around our school track. 2.4km. i think i did it in like 11mins plus. could have done faster if there weren't red cross. argh. cross country's coming. preparation.

talentime competition, TOMORROW

man oh man oh man oh man oh man. talentime competitions TOMORROW.

here's a brief intro. a talentime competition is a competition to showcase one's talents in dancing, singing or acting. whichever you prefer. so, me, fion, amanda, ruth and desiree, have come together and formed this singing group to participate in the competition. won't say the group name. anyway, we're singing the national day song, reach out for the skies. you must be thinking like errr...

man, i'm not doing well in my studies. i think. my first test has just ended. i failed my maths test. the worst i have ever done. emaths is simply tough. i like amaths so far. chinese is simply crazy. the teacher just talks so profund. idiot. she talks fast and very chim. and kinda looks like harry potter. haha. oops sorry. english is simply mad. compositions, the minimum words one can write is 300! it's a breeze. really. geography. so much facts to remember. social studies is fun.

arr. why must cross country be so near chinese new year? when am i going to grow taller? when will i like chinese and maths? why am i so busy?

anyway, i want to go to OBS sabah. but it's 900dollars+++. that's a lot. even though it's not my money, i feel the pinch. according to last year seniors, it was like 600+++only. then for OBS local, this year it's 300dollars+++, last year it was 100+++only! what the.

i want to join NDP this year. it'll be a must for me to participate for the fairfield story musical. i'm in drama. i'm in red cross. i'm in chapel band. i'm in council. man oh man oh man.

saturday

whoo. i was able to wake up late today. around 9am. it seems the more i sleep, the lesser pimples i have. haha. anyway, i had tuition from amaths and emaths. my teacher is good! whew. i managed to clear my doubts on the completing of the square problem. on friday, there was some sports conference for the south zone so we councillors had to do duties. i was at first assigned to carpark c with alvin but later was posted to ushering in the hall. man was it fun. me wilson nirma rachel meng and weijie. 6 of us. haha. later 5 of us, excluding rachel, served the guests in the hall food. man. there were some advantage. while serving the guests food, all our stomachs could be heard rumbling. miss fiona tan allowed us to have the leftovers. boy was it delicious. there was tons of food leftover. the food was even given to the teachers and cleaners! haha. after changing and stuff, wilson and i went back to class. 15mins before sch ended. haha.

orientation 2005, i took 1i. a normal technical class.boy, they were a bunch of bad girls and bad boys.

orientation 2006.
i have taken 1g. and they rock! i just hope they don't turn into those bad boys and bad girls. i hope they won't get influenced by the older people. i really don't want them to. i just want them to remain in their innocent kiddy throughout their entire fairfield life. and duh i know that's impossible.

this year's batch are really shy but already 'polluted'. they have already started to fold their skirts, socks low and messy hair.

my partners for this orientation are Wilson and Mary.

Orientation 06

What I expected

I was pretty nervous to meet 1G. I also had high hopes of 1G due to the experience of taking 1I last year. I expected 1G to be enthusiastic, happy all the time, enjoying the time they have with the councilors and appreciating the games we have for them. I wanted to know everyone of them. I wanted them to respect me and I would respect them.

What I experienced

On the first day of orientation, it turned out not well. They weren’t interested in the games. Mary and Wilson were quite angry. Wilson was shouting with all his might and still, 1G was still not listening. I asked a few on their opinions on what game would they like to play and they said catching. It was frustrating for me that they have not realized that they were already secondary one and have not broken off from their childish habits. It was really disappointing to see that 1G weren’t co-operating with us. It really lowered our spirits but we still kept on going. 1G took their own time. They walked slowly. They ate slowly. They still had their childish attitudes. I think I understood what was happening. The few reasons were that it was their first day of school, they came from all different primary schools, they were shy and they relied on their new cliques for support.

The second day, Wilson and I agreed that we would go slowly on them and he would apologize to them for shouting at them. We would also tell them our expectations of them and re-introduce ourselves. On this day, I was quite glad, as some of them have opened themselves up to us.

On the third day, almost the whole class as opened up to us. I even managed to open up some tough ones. Talentime preparations. The class wasn’t co-operating. Wilson and I were very worried. We just sat down and thought. I could see that Wilson was very frustrated. Then, my mind went ‘ding!’ shared my idea with him.

On the fourth day, there was track and field CCA selections. They had to run like 5 rounds altogether. I ran with them to suffer with them and strengthen friendships with them. This was talentime night. I was very nervous for our class’s skit. I was unsure whether would it work. While they were acting, I was panicking out backstage at the curtains. It turned out that our class got FIRST. I was exhilarated.

What I have gained

I learnt that you have to wait for one to open up slowly and to help them; you’ve got to laugh with them, suffer with them, and do funny and embarrassing actions with them.

church dinner

yesterday was church dinner. boy. there was lots of laughter. everbody looked beautiful and handsome. haha. there was events such as lucky draw, limbo, celebrating of couples' anniversaries and of course dinner! it was delicious. haha. these were the people at TABLE 7.



haha. gary's good at limbo. there was a skit too. it was on romeo and juliet. the couples part was that the males would have to pin a rose on their females and the females would have to pin an orchid on the males. well i only took the 15-20years of togetherness group photo.



the background looks so chinese wedding-ish. haha. oh yeah. we also played truth and dare. man. i think our table was the most noiseist because there were the most youths and 2 pairs of newlyweds. all still young at heart. so gary kena the most times. he got one truth and two dares. so, he had to eat this weird mixture of red chilli, dried chilli, green chilli, chicken, tea, soya sauce and water. that's all i think. i think there's more. so yeah.

lazing

right now, i'm just lazing around. still have social studies homework to do. and somehow, i can't do my chinese fei chang yue du, because my parents threw it away while spring cleaning. wo. lucky me. i can't stand chinese homework. man. miss hia is gonna be my form teacher. do u know what this means? either i quickly quit drama or i cannot play truant for drama. yikes!

will be going for church dinner tonight and have to wear any outfit that is smart and casual. so, i'm wearing my new skirt n top and shoes. and will be carryin a handbag. stop. what has come over me??! why am i becoming more and more ladylike? poof. luckily i still hate pink. yesterday during shopping, i accidentally promised my mother that i'll wear a dress next year. oops. anyway, i promised myself that i'll only wear a dress when i'm sec4.

a few weeks ago, i discovered that our school does not have a prom or graduation night or whatever. just a graduation service. boo.

yes! i have made joanna wear a skirt to tonight's dinner!! yes! whoohoo! steph wants to wear a dress. it's okay with me. sexy man. haha.

okay. i'm back from cambodia and china and have been extrememly lazy to blog. christmas is over. honestly i didn't feel any christmas spirit this year even though i was more generous this year. i bought more gifts for more ppl.

i don't really want to blog anymore about china. i'll just state what i can remember.
1. the beijing's soldiers are all really cute.
2. not much litter
3. in every guys toilets, there will be a male condom vending machine.
4. the temp in beijing chengde and tianjin was around -18degrees celsius to -23degrees celsius
5. scenery was beautiful
6. ice skating can be done without wearing skates. just wear ur shoes
7. all toilets in the city are equipped wil automatic sensor taps

stuff that i remember on the china trip.
i wore like 6 layers of clothes. made me look fat. the food was super oily but was delicious.went skiing. i perspired even though it was so cold. there were tv stars there and they were doing like some kind of documentary on snow sports. i think i may be on china tv. haha. even though it was cold. i felt warm but not when the winds blow. chilly winds.

cambodia trip

it was great!! it was like open environment air conditioned. i always felt cold. the winds were cold. nights and mornings were cold. the food there was so salty! i had the best time there. in phnom penh, we stayed in the hotel. i was saving my US money till the shopping day where i bought lots of stuff. haha. here's what i bought. 6 kromas, 1 book, 6 incense sticks and 2 DVDs. that's all i think. the only thing i was not used to was in takeo, cow dung and dog shit were everywhere. tons of insects too. i like the paddy fields.

the first day at takeo, i made a new friend. it's a guy and he's 6? i dunno. he's name is chew. he was very shy for like 2 days. but he opened up more as the days passed. on like the 3rd day,when we were doing visitations, he held my hand. haha. i wish i brought my camera to take photos. man! he's so cute. then there's this smart kid. he's 13. his name is nou(nul). he cried on the 4th night as somebody pulled his pants down. i mean like he's THIRTEEN. he was really smart.

don't think that cambodia,takeo is a old fashioned left behind place. it is not. the kids do play truant. they give excuses like their uniform is wet, their teachers are out at the paddy fields and they just want to spend time with us. haha.

shaun's little girlfriend was called liak. she's so cute and pretty. haha. on the 4th day, i told her that shaun likes her then she blushed. haha. oops. she held my hand too. she's a danity little girl.

kenneth had a little girlfriend too. don't know her name but i kinda stole her away from kenneth. haha. in the 4th night when she came running to me, i was like so touched and so sad that i'll have to leave her.

then there was pang and dou. both girls. pang was the one which wore the britney spears tee on the 1st day. she's really cute too. the dou was the one who skipped sch to see us. haha.

then there's ho. a guy. he keeps on stepping on our slippers, shoes, sandals. when shirely wanted to step on his slippers, she saw that it was already in a lousy condition, so she refrained herself.

the next time the next team goes up, I WANT THEM TO GIVE OUT clothes, slippers, hair accessories, stationery. not all but most important slippers. i know we can't be santa claus. but i really the way they smile and say thank you to me when i help or give them something.

during this trip, i felt that i have more that what i really need. those ppl in takeo can just be happy with their simple stuff. when my mother asked me what i wanted for christmas, i felt that i didn't need anything. before the trip i wanted an ipod but now i think i don't need it. even though i am putting up my wishlist but i think i don't really need it. i even have a silk blanket.

after service, we, YE, went for dinner at uncle meng wee's cafe. it was called MAD JACK. it turns out that about 40 ppl went. more than what moses expected. haha. it was great. at our table, was joanna me steph elijah mark n kim. haha. i had fish n chips. mark had baked rice and the rest of us had fish n chips too. but elijah had chicken chop. haha. when we finished, his food came. haha. in like 2mins later, he finished it all! we bullied him to serve us. haha. after dinner, everyone lazed around. my table talked. then played with the cards that paul brought. first they played bridge. i just watched. paul and elijah was good. then it was tai-ti. haha. i played first with paul steph n mark i think. haha. i wonder how paul shuffled the cards. in my hand, i had ALL 4 ACES!! and one 2 DIAMONDS and 2 QUEENS and 1 KING. wo. and of course, i won. haha. the next round, paul won. then i gave my turn to elijah. gerald joined in. he had a lucky hand and he won. haha.

man. that day was great. we played ate and lazed around. then moses sent me n bro back with his family too.

beijing chengde tianjin

heyy people. i am back form china. went to beijing chengde and tianjin. so the below stuff are just what i journalled during the trip.

4th december
reached the airport(singapore) then rushed for my plane and to beijing's airport. my breakfast at the airport was a ham and mozarella baguette. yummy. anyway airplane food is great man. i don't know why people don't like it. anyway, a day hasn't even passed and i'm missing everybody. haha. i brought a soft toy along. haha. i know i am VERY CHILDISH. but i like that, i'm still young and ONLY FOURTEEN. haha. it's name is kamkam. haha. it's a cat. i think. had the most deliciousdinner. a sichuan one. by the way, it was super cold the moment we stepped out of the airport. it was minus14degrees. MINUS!! went to bed around 11pm

5th december
haha. a funny thing but i was dreaming of SHAUN CHEN. haha. that handsome guy from heartlanders. haha. not other shauns or shawns or whatever. by the way i'm staying in a five star hotel. jade palace hotel.

hey everybody, i'll be leaving for china, beijing from 4th december to 13 december. which is tmr. haha. would be leaving in the morning. would wake up at 6.15am and leave house at 7am and the plane would take off at 9.30am and would reach beijing by 3.30pm. haha. and of course i would not be bringing my handphone along. haha. my parents are very strict about this. would be missing everybody in singapore. sobs. and of course i would get you people stuff from china. haha

he's back!

my brother's back!!!! yayy!! he bought lots of stuff with JUST US$20!!! he got me a bracelet a fan and an addidas t-shirt! haha. i think it's an imitation one. haha. he boughts lots of stuff!!! his luggage was filled with them! haha. sshh. don't tell anybody. my bro bought a chicken little DVD!!! watching it now. haha.

i'm so dead tired. hidayat-sir. u killed me today! i thought you were just bring like 2 books. who knows?! u brought like 6 thick books! shoots. looks like next year, i won't be growing at all. those heavy sec3 and sec4 books are gonna weigh me down. i only had 2 thich books in my bag and it almost killed my back. my shoulder is still aching. gosh. so many books! i was like kinda schocked when i saw you slam ur bag on the table to talk to ur bro. then when u came to me those books, it looked light to you, but for me, it wasn't! gosh. and i had to travel for one hour on public transport carryin those terrible books. i almost died when i went home. and after dinner i died. after waking up to have beancurd. i dieded.

thank you simon-sir! you really helped a lot for my group's talenttime. i do not have ur hp number to thank you so yeah. thank you. you helped us to project our voice. i think i sang a number of our of tunes. haha. fion was the best. thank you simon-sir!!

footdrill was good todayl compared to the other days. really. i would prefer a tough scolding serious drill session then a slack and laughing one. today was a good example. really. i learnt more than other days. more fruitful.
